Meghen Jones, art historian in the US, speaks about the meaning of the digital archive of Hiroe Swen


Meghen Jones is an Associate Professor of Art History in the School of Art and Design at Alfred University, where she teaches courses in material culture and the histories of East Asian art, global ceramics, and design.

Meghen summarises the significance of this digital archive for the broader art community beyond Australia. She points out the specific roles Hiroe Swen plays as a pioneering Japanese women ceramicist and a Japanese diaspora.
